Seriously???

A whole month I haven't posted??? Whaaaa???
I have missed it though! And I got some goodies to show you!

Lets see.......hmmm some of you have seen some of this on  my facebook, but I'll post them anyways.. I can't remember anything I've done lately lol

I made a jumper and a princess robe for my friends little girl. She turned 3 and she's a princess of course.. so I had to make the robe just for her = ) She loves it! and wears it to bed (as hot as it has been!)  and had wore it to town once lol

I been making some custom E reader covers and been having some very satisfied customers !!! =)

 This red one was a weird size for a Sony reader and I thought the cut out of the card board I used for sizing looked tight.. but the device fit perfectly!!! yay!

 I designed a wallet.. again.. I made one similar awhile back and got mad at it and threw it in my corner , I think its still there! hehe
But this one I made this morning and I loved the colors I used and thought I had it figured out! It a easy pattern and not sure what I was doing wrong!

 It has 6 card slots and a receipt/cash pocket.. I like simple.. I wanted a clear window for my license and I.D.

I put all my goodies inside and closed it and it was TIGHT! omgosh what?

I wasn't happy with it.. what I did wrong the bias trim on the clear pocket is too thick.. and I used heavier fabric for the exterior and interfaced it ......blah!

So.. back to the drawing board..oh, after a power outage of about a hour !!!

I made it a tad longer and used quilter cottons and interfaced with thinner stuff.

TADA!!

 I'm soo happy with this one! All my cards slots are roomy ,

 My receipt pocket will hold lots of receipts..

 and it closes great!!! I stitched up 3 lines instead of one middle one.. it closes better! gives it a book like feel .

I believe I want to make some of these up to sell..My mom and I are going to try to get a yard sale going soon and I'll try to sell some of my crafty things.

I'm making this tote bag but ran out of the fabric I used..this is what I've finished so far.

 I made a littler bag of the same patter and it was like way too small and love the pockets on this bag!

Theres a large deep pocket on the back and the dived pocket on the front.

I have to get fabric for the straps.. I used this pattern from HERE . I think I bought it from Joann's ,I can't remember for sure...

I'll be craft supply shopping tomorrow!! Got to get fabric for a new messenger bag I'm helping to test by Jane at http://projectsbyjane.blogspot.com/ .!!! She is very detailed with her patterns and I love them. You need to go over and check out her free tutorials as well as her Etsy shop!!! 

A storm is coming so need to get off her and I think my sewing bug is back..There has been alot going on with me and I just told myself to get with it SUE!!! snap out of it! .....slap slap.. I got many things to catch up on!!! Seeya!

HELLO???

Hey! I'm back! wow its been a whole month since I blogged!! eeeks.. I have no excuse other then I've been lazy and busy.. can that happen at the same time???

I not really sewn too much other then toddler clothes and actually in two days time I got 2 custom orders for Kindle covers!

 I didnt take pics of the clothes..yet. I bought 3 patterns at Joann's for shirts for myself ! Even got the fabric too, so now I'm commented to make them!

I was asked yesterday for custom orders for small pouches that will fit ammo inside to carry on a military like vest.. If they turn out well he wants me to make some to sell in his shop.. yay!
 Plus sewing on patches to uniforms.. I thought I was finished with uniforms.. but here I go again! lol
I hope no body out there has deserted me !!! I promise I'm still around!!! I hope everyone is well and having a nice summer!!! or winter depending on where you are located....= ) enjoy!

I'm slacking

I will blame the weather lol Its cool then its hot. WE NEED RAIN! Its in the forecast but probably past right by us saying..HA HA! no rain for you ! So our water bill is going to be higher so we can have a garden..blah.

My stars and moon or whatever hasn't been lined up for me for sometime and my nerves are shot to all get out..I'm forgetting easier.. was always a problem but its worse now lol

I did finally got some Kindle covers made for my shop. It took 4 days to get the buttons on them and then to take the pictures were a hassle lol

These will be on Etsy sometime today

I'm taking new pics though. These came out bluish for some reason even after I used Photoscape to do magic.. After doing these with button closure my next one I'm going to try a Velcro closure. I've not had complaints yet about the button but I like the bigger tab closure myself.. and my fingers do not like to sew on buttons for the main reason lol

I made another skirt.. this will be a birthday gift for a friend of Zoey's . Its so cute I'm diffidently making one for Zoey! I used Apple of my Eye fabric.. I can't get enough of that line!

I been searching for new patterns to make for kids.. I'm getting obsessed in making kids clothes!

Now just the time to get them all cut out and sew. I really wish Zoey would learn to use the machine! hehe

OH I ordered new labels. I really like them. They are on twill , but my font I picked didn't show up very well = (

My fault there she did send me a sample photo and of course I enlarged it and didn't think much about it lol 

I'll drop my name off of it and see how that looks next time.. now just have 75 more labels left lol

I ordered from Here a shop called Greenbeansnstrings on Etsy. She sent them in a cute little envelope.

They are 1"x1" and I can sew them right on without turning under. She fray checks them for ya!

ok, on to better things... lol

Not going to be a long post..I promise.. Not been myself last few days.. I want to sew, then I don't, I want to read, then I don't.. ugh. Then the temporary replacement phone I was using broke.. so I looked all over for the phone I did want and none .. out..gone. So found one to order and it wont be here til later next week..grrrrrrrr Along with some personal matters , things were not good this week = /

 Here's what I did manage to do.. 

 Its very hard to keep a 2.5 year old to model without moving arms and legs.. so the pics are fuzzy because of that...(and don't look at my messy areas in the background lol)
The fabric I used in this pillowcase dress was a gift from Jane over at Projectsbyjane. I knew after I saw this fabric it would be a dress for the Zoey-bug. Thank you Jane!

 LOL I LOVE this picture.. She's been toting these old books that use to be mine when I was her age around everywhere. I told her to sit still like a robot.. she did this LOL

She does love her clothes I make her. I showed them to her and she grabs them and smiles big.. LOVE that.. and its makes all worth the time into them = )

I'm here!

10 days without a post.. eeeks. Well I have a good reason. Been sewing.. some, but mostly Zoey has been keeping me company .. lol (I will get her sewing like a pro in no time though!)

I made a few clothes for her getting my start on summer outfits. I wasn't going to start until April but I'm trying out some different outfits to see what I want to make a bunch in...

I made this cute thing from a old long sleeve shirt I had thrown into the donate pile, but dug it back out. I used the bottom of the shirt to keep the hem (its raveled a bit and I liked that look) then I added the applique.
I made her some shorts and have two dresses cut out but no pictures yet of those.

I finished another Kindle Cover tonight. I listed it on my Etsy. I have been lucky in selling these. They are fast to put together too, which is a plus in my book!

I used fabric from Bee My Honey by Jenni Calo. I love this fabric! Can you see the detail stitching on the pockets??
I used the pattern from Birdiful Stitches . It comes with all the sizes you could need to make any size reader covers! I did make my own pattern at first but needed the sizes for all of them and just went with this! I hate figuring out stuff! and  I support my fellow crafter's!!! =)

There is one certain fellow crafter and I call her my VERY good crafty  friend (that lives too far away ..sad face ) that keeps me smiling.. Sasha from StitchedbySasha keeps sending me goodies!!! I did not take a picture , but she sent me a large envelope stuffed with scraps! I grinned ear to ear with some of these lovely pieces!!! I will be busy making Zoey some new soft alphabet magnets with these! Thank you so much Sasha! Keep saving those scraps! hehehe

Update on my baby chicken from last post.. There is just the one that lived. She thinks I'm her momma, and I have a chicken following me all over the yard. If you could see me outside I'll be walking Zoey , my dog, and a chicken !! geeez My cat follows behind slowly lol  We call the chicken Bird. She follows Zoey around too, and jumps up on her lap lol .. its so cute.

I actually finished TWO projects today!! Well, they are the same thing but two items...all in one day. I will let you all look without me writing all about it first ...

 (I think I need to move that piece of elastic over??? the left bottom???)

I made them different from one pattern. The first one I made from this tutorial  on Busyquiltingmama. If you know me well, I hate putting on ANY type of bias or binding! It looks pretty and would love to master it , but I tackled this pretty well... ( no close up shots though hehe) But after sewing it I wanted to sew another one with some changes.. I didn't put the binding on but the one side..(because that is where I slipped my cardboard in..) But after sewing it up I figured out another way with no binding at all! lol But won't do that for some time....maybe... not.
The peace sign one is for Zoey's mommy. She went shopping one day for one and thought they were pricey..yep. She asked if I could sew one........YEP! It was only a tutorial away!
The black one is MINE! No, I don't have a Kindle but its the same size of one. I don't even read books on it.. just read email's or blogs. I still love a real live book in my hands.

OK here is something else I made.. more scrunchies!

I gave some of them to Zoey, she looks quite cute in them and has plenty of hair for them! A couple more go to a custom order...actually they all were suppose to be one order but after I got them all done.. she said "oh I just need 2" ...hmm k.....

So, did you see something pretty in the back ground in all these photos? Something new??? I spy with my little eye... something colorful??? I made a new ironing board cover!!

Isn't she pretty???!!! My old one was nasty ... and when Randi on I have to say posted a sew along for one, I joined right up! Of course you don't have to join it to make one , you can go right over there and get the tutorial for one! Easy too!
I did this when I had Zoey with me.What was I thinking??? I was thinking she would be more interested in watching Caillou then what Gramma was doing...

But no..she enjoyed... cough cough.. helping me. As you can see...

I don't know what she thought it was, the iron board was laying top side down on my fabric. Looks to me like she going for the gold in bob sledding. Love that little girl =)

I took her to the library Saturday. She loves going there with me, but now she wants to run up and down the aisles. Of course its a little library and the ladies that work there know her and love all the kids.. nothing like when I was little and you had to hold your breathe the whole time in one and be as quiet as ever. My mom always asked why my face was so blue when she would pick me up....
But anyways..I been teaching her "Marco polo" and well..she decided she wanted to play it in the library. Oh boy was that fun! lol Seeing her run past the open aisle , giggling was so cute. 
I don't have plans for anything but sewing tomorrow!! Wish me luck!!!

I been hiding lately.. but busy busy busy! I got all my gifts made except two and will probably do that this weekend.... I hope.

Trash bins for cars..I used a milk jug cut in strips to support the opening in the front. = ) I used the tutorial Here. It called "boning" for the opening but I didn't have it.. so milk jugs was the closest thing!

 This is a Kindle case. It was made for a friends daughter... hope her daughter likes it!!
