Pouches , Poochies and Phones....

I got a few more things finished up this past few days.. yay!

First up is a Idea Pouch by Michellepatterns. This is going to be for Zoey if you can see the name.. My ink didn't show up very well so will have to try to restamp it.
This was pretty easy to put together. Its padded with fusible fleece. It can be used for a ipad or a couple of notebooks.
I had this farm fabric for awhile ( I'm bad about fabric names!) and love the bugged out eyes on the animals!!  I wanted the back of the fabric to show the the print right side up and when the flap came over it had them upside down, so I added the name tag to sort of hide that. Zoey won't mind = ) She loves her markers and paper just like her Gramma !!

 I also used some fabric my friend Jane sent me for the lining.

 This pouch has two inside pockets. It will hold two composition notebooks or a ipad.  There is another outside pocket for pencils and pens, markers, ect.. cute!?

I might be making some for my Etsy shop.. but not too soon.

This next thing is my second attempt .. and let me tell you this is 100% better then the first one! YUCK I won't even post it ...
I hate using my good fabric's when testing out a pattern that I have no idea how it will turn out..
but took a chance here.
I have a smaller touch phone. It is also a slide phone. It has teeny keys on the key board but that is how I like it.. I can NOT use the slider phones that is horizontal, I have short stubby thumbs and it just doesn't go well for me. This one I can use one hand ( one thumb) to text = ) 
Of course I do not text and drive (illegal in Indiana) but like to see my phone visible in case I get a call and I want to see who it is first (to ignore if I want) .
I used a thin clear vinyl I picked up at Joann's as a remnant. I made the clear pocket with a velcro closure.

 The inside has a smaller card pocket on the side and enough for change and monies.

 I made a matching strap. I like them wide to fit my wrist and know it is there.
I almost messed up and forgot to consider the thickness of my phone. It has a nice hot PINK cover on it.. and makes it abit thicker but it worked out good here. Snug and won't slide around. I even tested it and I can slide my open window on it.(not slide it open the connect slide button.. oh if you have a iphone you know what  I mean! as it is the same as my phone.)
I'm more of a person to carry a purse but I wanted to have something smaller to take with me for a quick run to town or when I go shoot.
I had to bring that up as the last time I went to shoot I hurt my wrist..again.. so I'm wearing a ACE support brace on my left wrist.. sigh. I just need to stay away from the long guns.. too heavy for me = (

Still with me???

I haven't shown Baby my furry friend for some time.. since this blog was named in honor of her I need to talk more of her! Or change the name Zoey Threads lol

I made a little vest for her! hmmm I didn't get a good close up of the print but it has little doggies and dog related stuff written on it.. 

 She likes it = ) It is lined with soft flannel to keep her warm. I could never figure out dog clothes.. here is why.. lol They have fur! When we make them clothes we cover up the FUR! Their little bellies are exposed along with their butt and little feet..so what is the point?? Because they look soooo cute!!!!!!
I have bought her booties but she did not like them and she kept flipping them off.

I do not dress Baby in bows and ruffles , she is a tom boy doggie, like I was as a young girl. We live in the country so she has nothing on Paris's doggies.. but you have to admit they are so cute and sweet! Look at those face's!!! (not including Paris) oops did I type that out loud? 

Ok if you hung in there with me this far I wanted to say I'm excited to get a new blog layout! 

Kim over on 733design will be working on my new layout last part of October!! I filled out a form and let her know what I liked, disliked and wanted, and she will take it from there.. I can't wait to see what she comes up with!! She did Sasha's blog and did a hit on the bull's eye job! Kim designed my little Applehead logo for my tags I make, so I'm hoping she will include that in my page as well.

Another week..

I made something manly.. and its for me as well…

Doug got a new gun safe and wanted something to put the smaller guns in.. so voila.. I put rivets , grommets or whatever they are in the top and sides to match up the screws in the door. And I did not like putting those little buggers in! But Dougie is happy with it…

I made this little drawstring bag for a friend. I put a clip on the side so  he can clip it to his belt for his arrowhead hunting. (anyone have any REAL arrowheads for sale???)

I totally love the fabric.. Sasha from Stitchedbysasha sent me a little bag of scraps and love trying to find ways to use them.. I got a bigger project in line for most of it.. I made Zoey the alphabet magnets and couldn’t remember if I posted them.. Still need to make more vowels so she can learn to spell of course!! She is doing very well with spelling her name. We are going to work with her colors and writing this summer.

 

Remember I said I tested a pattern for Jane from Projectsbyjane? Here is my final outcome of it. It’s a super cute and easy envelope clutch!!! She wanted to make a pattern for some new beginner sewer’s and I think she did a very good job with this.

It was easy to follow and she always gives very detailed pictures and instructions. You learn to put a magnetic snap this one. I also think putting a regular snap would do good too. I will making a couple more up of these and put them in my “goodie box” for gifts and such.

I woke up this morning geared up to sew.. I even cut out and interfaced my fabric’s the night before just so I could go right into sewing.. I did ..sort of.. after checking email, drinking my coffee and reading blogs.. oh and spending time on Pinterest..sigh..by that time I had to let my doggie Baby

out for her morning walk. It takes her about 45 minutes to check HER pee-mail (hehe) and do the entire 5 acres out back..we have to go down the long lane, around the back of the shed then into the woods then all around my pond.. and if I’m feeling up for it,, back around the front of the house then the garage then finally back in the house.. Remember she is tiny, her legs are tiny, my legs are ….well short.. so it takes about 45 minutes..yep.On days we are having lately I enjoy it but when its cold or very hot out, we do maybe 10 fast walks lol. BUT anyways!!! got back in the house, then got a phone call and Doug’s truck is finished so up town we go to pick that up.. I stopped at the good old IGA store to get cabbage for my home made veggie soup I made for supper tonight. mmm it was good! Then stopped at the post office then back home.. and would you believe Baby was ready to go out again..NO BABY lol she pouted and I felt bad, so out we went for a fast front yard walk..so I ended up doing these…

 

I still need to hand sew the opening up at the bottoms, but I did manage to sew today.. I was working on a headache anyways,I wasn’t too much into it . I had the fabric’s for the back two pouches. but I used some of Sasha’s scraps for the little cute red one in front!! hehe..

I used Keyka lou's pattern for these cuties.. But she changed her pattern page name to Michellepatterns now.I try to snag her patterns when they go on sale !!! I probably have 85% of them lol

Ok I’m outta of here.. The recliner and coffee pot is calling my name.. I will be showing my mom’s new quilts she is working on later in the week. I took pics of them but don’t like how they turned out..

A fast post...with a lot of pics...and a funny one.

I noticed in my past few post's I ramble on and on about stuff!! lol but today I won't , I promise...kindof tired and wanted to get these pics posted before I totally forget...again.

I made another Posey Wristlet !! Well , actually two..

I made something from a new pattern I purchased from http://projectsbyjane.blogspot.com/

It's called a Sexy Zipper Wristlet.. (because it has curves) hehe

 I really liked making this one , and the zipper is done abit different then what I'm use to doing. I also made a few new labels.. I usually go all out and print them on sticky stuff and iron them on ribbon.. I wanted to do something fast and different. My mom gave me one of those old school label makers, the one you have to painfully and carefully apply EACH teeny letter to the base?? Then I just stamped it on some twill tape.. Easy peasy..

Next on my list..

or are they business cards???  

Another easy peasy project!! I wanted to make some bookmarks for my local library and always make them for the kiddo's , well thought maybe the adults would like some! And hopefully get some sales on Etsy lol

My fav are the Little Apple prints.. (the second in second row and the last one in red, for my non crafty people) And the little panda.. love that one too!

Ok best thing I saved for last.. I haven't posted Baby for some time..

Here she is in all her glory.. I enlarged it so you all can read.. I was going to edit and thought.. oh I'm so sure everyone's house looks just like mine!! Its been Zoey'tised...

I had her Thursday and took this tonight (Friday) lol I past that paper she is sitting on all day and still can't pick it up...sigh.

Baby has gained a bit of weight as its been too cold to go out for our daily walks everyday. I take her out and she runs to the trees, or trash can, or tire wheels reading her pee-mail and replies and off back to the house!  Today it got up above 40 I think.. so she took me back around the pond behind our place.

I finally got a day for ME and went to get my hair done!! I thought it was time..

Busy is a over rated word

I haven't even looked when I last posted. I've been a full time granny for a couple of weeks.  In that time I got a couple days in to sew.. I did get two days in a row off , but got sick !!! GRRRRR again!
The second time in about two months.. stupid stomach bug can kiss my fat-er kester (not sure if that is how its spelled?) but you get my meaning!  I didn't get the pukies this time but I wish I would of just to get it over with.. YUCK that feeling in your stomach is enough!! I lived off barely eaten toast and 7up all day yesterday. I went to bed early (10pm) that's way early for me too!  I woke up at 6 feeling so much better! I didn't get to drink my coffee all day yesterday and that sucked!! I'm a big morning , noon  and evening coffee hound. I craved it so bad too but just didn't taste good. But this morning I made it and MMMMMMMM yummy! I got my fix! The whole pot!!! hehehehe Was I wired the rest of the day?? Nope.. caffeine does not affect me at all. I can drink a cup or two before bed and sleep like a .. well, a good rested person.

I got a custom order finished yesterday with a matching wallet..

 I would like to move on to a different fabric print but this print seems to be a hit with the younger kids. I do like the blue!!!

I used a tutorial from Vibrant Designs blog and changed the handle a bit.. just one piece instead of two. I think I was to tie it at the top or something but just  made it one piece.
And the wallet is from Keyka lou . I love her patterns.. they are easy to follow and I got quite a lot of her patterns!!! If I ever get some more time I want to make at least one of each them!!

 I made another custom order using the pattern Go Anywhere bag from Anna at Noodlehead I do like this one!!! I'm so sure I posted about this one.. If I did.. well excuse me for being senile in my very-near-to-old-age mind.And.... I'm just too lazy to go back to check lol
(maybe it was facebook I posted?? hmmm dunno?)

Well hope you all are having a great weekend!! I woke up this morning to a lovely ice covered landscape. I let Baby (my dog to my new followers) out to tinkle and she slipped right down the steps.. I went to grab her before she hit the second step and oops too late.... down she went.. she was ok.. but well.. seeing a little chihuahua splat out all fours is sort of funny.. sorry Baby =( mommy bad. She would of laughed at me I'm sure.. and I know dogs has a sense of humor!!
I have another OLD and I mean OOOOOOOOOOLD dog that I figured up to be at least 17 years old!! she was a 'drop off" dog and we kept her around, and she has been the best dog we have ever had. So faithful and good with the kids.. it took her awhile to warm up to Doug but.. well I did too..he looks mean at times  (lol) Well anyways, I let her out of the garage this morning and she went out front where the cars come out of the doors and I couldn't believe she actually walked that far out.. but she made it and well didn't quite make it back in .......I had to go out and rescue her. Zoey was looking out the window and laughing.. (she's silly) and said Gramma.."weety haha"(her name is Sweety)  I said what?? I look out and she is trying to get back up on the sidewalk part of the garage front. Poor thing couldn't get a grip because of the ice and no traction and well she can't walk anyways.. I went out and told Zoey to walk Gramma fall on her butt and she can laugh more.. Sweety was glad to see me.. wagging her tail and smiling at me (her trademark) so I get behind this 70 pound.. and yes she is every bit of that!!! lump of hair and just pushed her and she glided off the sidewalk... she was happy and limped the rest of the way in the garage.I took this photo this past summer, she was just then losing her way to walk good. I think she had a stroke (can dogs ???) because now one of her eyes droop on the top = ( We really need to put her down.. its so hard to do that to a faithful friend , ya'kno??
